That fish, caused me two visits to the student health center, a 4.5 hour visit to the ER and a 1.5 hour visit to a plastic surgeon/ENT doctor. That all included my blood pressure being checked three times in my day, three of my fingers being hooked up to a pulse machine, two scopes of my throat, consumption of a range of foods, medicines and liquids that were suppose to soothe my throat all because I can feel a tiny trout bone in my throat. To sooth the pain/ trying to remove the bone I ate, an entire bag of famous amos cookies covered in peanut butter all at one time, three different milk shakes, ice cream, nachos, diet cook(to dissolve the bone), chocolate cake and lots of bread.
The conclusion being there might be a tiny bone wedged into the tissue of my throat or that I have gone crazy and I am hallucinating something. In the time being I am going to live with the scratching pokiness in my throat to prevent anymore camera's on a tube being stuck down my nose.
The trout on the other hand was really good and it was a recipe from Julia Child's cook book, which I just finished doing a research project on. It pan fried beautifully despite the fact that the fish couldn't all fit within the pain and so it had to be shifted around to evenly cook the fish.
Oh! Thats a Dutch pancake, my family ate at a pancake house last year in Amsterdam and I Have tried to recreate it several times. At the grocery store I had forgotten that bacon was involved so sadly I didn't buy any. There the pancakes are like thick crepes with bacon, cheese and onions cooked into it and a molasses like syrup poured over the top in order to create a sweet salty dynamic.
I am a Foodie.
