One of my great meals of my life was a crab cake poor boy that I had in St. Louis one spring afternoon. SO ever since then when I have the opportunity to eat one, I take up the chance. A sausage poor boy thats been deep fat fried not exactly for the top 100 eats list, not satisfying in the way you know you'll be living a shorter life for having consumed it. was looking forward to the hush puppies because I have the distinct memory of eating some really good ones lately, I believe at the Mississippi Fish shake. At the shake their hushpuppies were slightly sweet not balanced the sweetness by salty them out of the fryer. They were also creamy on the inside. These that I had on friday though weren't. They had chucks of bacon in them, but they didn't add anything to the flavor what so ever, they were dry and were neither salty or sweet. They were just a disappointment after trying to fill an urge that had been lurking at me for awhile.
